”Winners Circle” Website Encourages Sales Efforts

Problem

Wilo USA offers highly reliable and extremely durable submersible pumps and mixers, as well as a full line of high efficiency pumps, commercial pumps, and well pumps. Wilo wanted to recognize and reward the hard work of their sales staff and help them surpass their sales goals for a specific period.

A creative website needed to be created to not only establish qualifications, provide motivation, handle point tallies and disbursements on a monthly basis to Wilo’s winning representatives, but also challenge participants to surpass their sales goals. It was up to Interline to create a proper means for communication and enrollment.

Solution

Programmers at Interline Creative Group designed an interactive web-based portal for Wilo’s “Winners Circle” program. All sales people in “Region Americas” could view the rules and requirements, enroll in the program and check standings on their pending rewards. Not only were the winners recognized on the website, they also had their name(s) engraved on a “Winners Circle” plaque at Wilo headquarters, a “Winner Circle” logo on business cards, special gifts and an all-expense paid trip for two, a small way of saying “Thank You” from Wilo.

Results

Interline facilitated and  simplified the process, making it pain-free for Wilo’s sales staff to participate and increase their earnings, obtain rewards and allow Wilo senior management to enjoy increased sales and more importantly say “Thank You.”

Social Media Increases Brand Awareness

Problem:
Even as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pumps and pump systems, Wilo USA was still looking for greater recognition in the United States.  Being fairly new in the U.S. market, and with a modest market share compared to its North American competitors, Wilo USA contacted Interline to help increase Wilo’s brand awareness.

Solution:
The experts at Interline created a comprehensive strategy for Wilo, one aspect of which was social media. To ensure that Wilo USA’s message reached a larger audience, Interline provided consultation, support, and execution of Wilo USA’s social media presence. Interline created a social media strategy for Wilo using major channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, and sent scheduled content out to multiple channels using tools such as Hootsuite. Result:
Interline’s social media plan, which is collaborative with the client, has provided Wilo USA with a digital platform to routinely interact with industry leaders, prospective customers, and relevant news outlets.  Using tools such as Hootsuite allowed Interline to effectively integrate as well as monitor all social media platforms. It has proven to be an invaluable tool for not only broadcasting, but for receiving pertinent information from relevant voices in the industry.

Publicity, Press Events Promote Pump Company’s Presence

Problem:
The Wilo Group, which originated in Germany in 1872, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pumps and pump systems for: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply, sewage disposal, and wastewater treatment. Yet, Wilo USA was relatively new in the U.S. market and had a modest market share compared to its North American competitors. Wilo USA management understood that increasing company and brand awareness were critical for penetrating the U.S. market and turned to Interline.

Solution:
When Wilo USA opened a distribution center in Thomasville, Ga., recently marking an important step in the company’s U.S. expansion, Interline invited members of the press across the U.S. and local dignitaries to attend an open house event at the facility. The media open house, which included a plant tour, one-on-one interviews with Wilo USA professionals and time to socialize, was well attended. Interline media relations specialists handled both onsite and follow-up press requests and needs.

Interline also executed an ongoing public relations strategy. Interline publicists issue media kits for industry trade shows, write and  distribute press releases for product launches and general corporate news, write and schedule social media as well as write and place case studies about successful customer installation sites in print and digital publications.

Result:
The media open house resulted in numerous stories in the press, touting Wilo USA’s distribution center, its products and services, and its aggressive plans in the U.S. pump market. By building relationships and recognition with the trade press through the open house and other efforts on behalf of Wilo USA, Interline enabled editors to readily acknowledge Wilo USA’s presence in the U.S. and its expertise in commercial and industrial market segments. Editors are aware that Wilo USA is an up-and-coming company in the American pump market and now look to Wilo for editorial content and comments on industry matters.  Interline’s publicity measures also reach specifying engineers, building managers and other influencers to keep the Wilo USA name front and center.

As a Wilo’s spiff program facilitator, Wilo Winner’s Circle, it was up to Interline Creative Group to create a proper means for communication and enrollment.  Interline’s savvy web developers created a site where users could view the rules and requirements, enroll in the program, and check status on their pending rewards.  In addition, Interline handles the point tallies and provides the disbursement to Wilo’s winning representatives.

The advertising creative team at Interline Creative Group created an ad for Wilo Pump USA, a global leader in water and wastewater pumps, to show the wide array of motors available for their groundwater products.  Interline’s ad included images and descriptions of the options available while highlighting performance and efficiency as reasons to consider Wilo groundwater products.

For Wilo Pump USA’s domestic hot water circulator pumps, the design and graphics team at Interline Creative Group was asked to produce a sell sheet.  What they came up with was a two pronged visual approach.  The sell sheet was created, printed, and then translated into a free standing counter display promoting and housing the actual circulator pumps.
